The motivation behind this change is twofold: increased efficiency and greater environmental responsibility. The tabletops of our beer garden sets are made by gluing together several wooden slats to achieve the desired width. To reach the previous width of 80 cm, nine full slats and one half slat had to be joined—a time-consuming and resource-intensive process that is now eliminated by the switch to the 220x75 cm format. The new width still meets all functional requirements while simplifying the production process.
Less wood, same comfort. By adjusting the width to 75 cm, we achieve a 6% reduction in wood consumption without compromising comfort—ensuring you receive a product that is not only high quality but also sustainable. Another advantage of this change is improved logistics: instead of 16 pallets, 18 pallets now fit into each truck. This results in a more efficient use of transport space and a smaller ecological footprint thanks to a reduced number of required transport journeys.
